Wilderness Trace Solar announces it has adopted a public electrical vehicle charging station from Evolve Kentucky –  a non-profit, grassroots organization founded in Louisville that gets organizations to sponsor and install EV chargers for free public use as a means to enhance the EV charging infrastructure throughout the state.car and charger  Installed in the parking lot at Wilderness Trace Solar on the corner of Stewarts Lane North and Highway 127, this charging station is available for drivers of electric vehicles (EV’s) and plug-in hybrids to top off their battery for free while they are visiting WTS or traveling through our community.  Wilderness Trace Solar will be hosting a community event and ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially unveil the charger very soon.     Wilderness Trace Solar is no stranger to the world of disruptive technologies and believes that EV’s will be driving the future.  “We know there are many EV drivers commuting and traveling down Highway 127 daily.  Installing a free, dual port J1772 EV charger here just makes sense.  EV drivers depend on the ability to charge when they plan their routes.  We want to keep the EVs moving forward but we also want them to stop in Danville.  We want to be part of the forwardmotion, future-thinking, tech-embracing renewable energy efforts being made right here at home.”

Wilderness Trace Solar learned about Evolve KY from their Office Manager, Laura Zaspel who is a member of the Lexington Chapter and drives an EV to work daily.  WTS has just hired Shannon Causey as their Technical Design and Sales team member – he is also an EVolveKy member and fellow EV driver.  Laura and Shannon are thrilled they can charge their EV’s with the solar ener2carscharginggy powered by the Wilderness Trace Solar arrays.  “We need a sticker that says Running on Sunshine!”

Wilderness Trace Solar is committed to making our community and world a better place to live.  It has been in operation since 2015 and is located at 70 Stewarts Lane North, Danville, Kentucky 40422.  They are specialists in designing and installing Residential, Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional solar energy systems throughout Kentucky.  Their tag line since inception has been, “Plug Into the Sun” – now, with the public EV charging station – you can do that!
