At Wilderness Trace Solar we are involved in more than just solar power system design, sales and installations…we are busy interacting and supporting our community in Danville, Kentucky.
We have always employed interns from Centre College who are interested in renewable energy and solar projects – this Spring we are thrilled to have Maddy Coleman, a Senior at Centre College, a Soccer Super Star and an Economics major!
Maddy is involved in our Riparian Project – which involves managing the stream bank here on our campus by planting native Kentucky trees, shrubs and flowers to prevent erosion as well as providing a habitat for pollinators. Maddy has been designing signage for our campus, researching and finding the native plants, picking up trash, planting and tagging plants.
In addition to the Riparian Project, Maddy has been a great help at WTS sharing her Economics expertise, helping us prepare literature for Expo’s, giving tours to customers, and learning about both on-grid and off-grid solar applications. Maddy wants to work and enthusiastically offers to help. We are so thrilled to have her with us and thankful for her tremendous work ethic, her creative ideas and her willingness to share. We are so excited for your future Maddy Coleman and so proud of you and all that you do!
